About Us
Who Is Jewel Women's Center?
Jewel Women's Center, (formerly Care Net Pregnancy Center of Schuylkill County) was founded in 1999 by Pastor Robert Stahl of Schuylkill Haven. It was his desire to see “the church” engaged in the care of young women and men facing unplanned pregnancies.
He believed that as Christians, we are called to walk alongside those who choose life for their unborn child by providing education, material assistance and emotional support.
Our History
Through the Lord’s continued faithfulness, our ministry has served the communities of Schuylkill County for over twenty years.
Our center is currently located at 103 East Main Street in Schuylkill Haven. God has opened the doors for Jewel Women's Center to become a fully operational medical facility as of March 2021. Under the supervision of our medical director, Dr. Christopher Pugh, Jewel is able to provide medical-grade pregnancy testing, Ultrasound screenings, and STI testing.
Our passion for those making pregnancy decisions in our community compels us to offer:
- Options counseling which reaches the most vulnerable in our community: the abortion-minded client. We are laser-focused on reaching each and every abortion-determined person in Schuylkill County with the love of Christ in the hope that they will choose life for their child.
- "Earn While You Learn" programs provide education on topics such as pregnancy, newborn care, and parenting. Through participation in these programs, clients earn diapers, wipes, and baby clothing.
- Referrals and engagement with many local social service agencies to provide education for their clients, as well as offering their service to our clients.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Yearly financial audits by an outside accountant are performed and available for review. You can be confident that your donation is making a difference!
Our donors are the reason we can serve women in Schuylkill County and surrounding areas with excellence and compassion. Thank you!
